Calculus 2
Integral Calculus
The main focus of this course, at least the first half, is integration. We'll discuss methods to evaluate integrals and see how they can be used, with applications ranging from areas and volumes to work and hydrostatic force. Along the way, we'll find that any time we're tracking something that's changing, and we want to keep up with its total value, an integral is our tool of choice.
Later, we'll briefly introduce differential equations, one of the most useful topics in all of mathematics (again, once you start looking at the world around you in terms of how things are changing, your perspective will never be the same). Finally, we'll wrap up with infinite sequences and series, which build to a crescendo with Taylor series.
Throughout it all, we'll investigate the infinite and discover new ways to describe the fascinating world that we live in.
